Find the authority, then the right document

Start with your destination market and product type. Open the authority profile for its scope, then choose a resource. Food, cosmetics, chemicals, electrical safety and radio equipment can involve different authorities in the same country.

Different sources answer different questions

Legislation

A legal text or an official route to it. Check the applicable version, amendments and dates.

Guidance

An authority’s explanation of requirements. It is not a substitute for the underlying legal text.

Official resource or tool

A document portal, service page or calculator. Its presence does not establish a product’s eligibility.

International framework

A model or standard, such as GHS or Codex. National and regional implementation determines its legal effect.

Coverage is visible

This is a curated starting collection, not a complete register of global law. Country profiles show what is included. Some countries have food resources only; others have broader coverage. EU resources are also shown for the France and Germany profiles and retain their EU jurisdiction label.

Dates and status

The source-review date is separate from publication, entry into force and application. Dated compendia and manuals are labelled. Resource hubs can contain proposals, adopted acts and superseded documents: check the status of the document you actually open. We do not offer live regulatory-change alerts here.

Country and regional flags are from flag-icons, used under its MIT licence. Organisation artwork is sourced from official websites and shown only to identify the source publisher. It is not a packaging mark, certification, endorsement or downloadable artwork licence. Authorities without sourced artwork are shown by their name or initials.

Corrections and missing coverage

If a source has moved or a scope description needs correction, contact GoVisually with the guide URL and the official reference. Some government sites restrict automated access; we link to official sources without bypassing their controls.
